Les thèmes abordés
In Paris or Grasse, you discover how to smell, memorize and describe scents, then take your first steps in the laboratory. The study of 96 raw materials and the formulation of simple accords give a concrete dimension to your discovery. A course in English to acquire the basics of perfumery.
Physiology of the sense of smell: perceiving and memorizing smells.
Extraction and preparation methods for natural and synthetic raw materials.
Families and olfactory facets illustrated by market perfumes; olfactory study of 96 raw materials.
Introduction to laboratory techniques, weighing and the formulation of simple formulas.
One free day: in Paris, access to our olfactory space or a visit to perfumeries; in Grasse, the possibility to visit local attractions, with guidance from our instructor.
The training consists of 28 hours of classes spread over four days, within a five-day week.
Comment se déroule la formation
The sessions in English take place in the classroom and in the Cinquième Sens laboratory. The training includes 70% theoretical input and 30% practical work.

During training. Visual support and olfactory cues accompany the learning process.
After the training. You keep a pedagogical dossier in digital format, accessible via the Extranet.
