Prérequis
- Master the French language. For English training, contact us.
- Having a scientific mindset.
- Possessing a level equivalent to the Initiation to Perfumery and the Language of Odors (level 1) or the Expertise in Perfumery Technique.
- Without anosmia.
Training Program
Les thèmes abordés
You are familiar with the basics of perfumery and wish to understand materials at the molecular level. The theoretical and olfactory study links the concepts of chemistry with the properties of the ingredients. You acquire the vocabulary and references necessary to deepen this scientific dimension of perfume.
Concepts of chemistry applied to perfumery and the history of the discovery of olfactory molecules.
Revision of the foundations of organic chemistry and theoretical and olfactory study of the main functional groups.
Reaction of the Schiff base; relationship between structure and activity, chirality and enantiomers.
Physical-chemical properties: detection of a smell, volatility and solubility.

In the classroom, the training combines 70% theoretical input and 30% practical work to link the concepts of chemistry to the examples studied.
