EMANEZSENS: Awakening the Fifth Sense
What is it? Scents, stink-bombs and perfumes are on the menu at this workshop full of surprises, which spans art & science, imagination & experimentation!
What happens? During a 2-hour session, the children lead an investigation, superhero style, solving enigmas and playing games along the way. The adventure ends with them creating their ownEau de Toilette.
Who is it for? For children aged 6 to 15 yrs. 3 levels: Kids (6-8 yrs.) Junior (9-11 years) Teenager (12-15 years)
Who runs it? The workshops are run by “nose,” who is a Cinquième Sens trained Fragrance designer, who loves working with children and fragrance.
Why? To awaken our children’s sense of smell, to help them understand how the nose works, and to teach them how to make a perfume, from formulation to launch. We will introduce them to some beautiful fragrances, and they will create their own Eau de Toilette.
How? We use fun, modern, interactiveeducational methods. We combine stories that make children dream, with observation games that help children better understand the meaning of smell and how useful the nose is. There are concentration games to get their grey matter working, and creative workshops to let their imaginations run free. The children use the very same tools that a real perfumer uses, including an olfactorium, pipettes, beakers, scales and smelling strips. Each child receives an activity booklet to work on during the workshop, and to take home to share with their parents. Each child takes home a hand-decorated 30ml spray bottle of their own fragrance.
